The art of Larry Leffew includes subjects from Oregon to the Rockies, Florida to the Midwest, to the shores of Maine. His subjects are as varied
as life has to offer. Larry enjoys painting chickadees, children playing, animal, the dilapidating barns of the Midwest, or towering lighthouses.
He combines impressionism with realism. The impressionistic techniques are used to allow the viewers minds to wander and "fill in the blanks" as
they scan the painting, becoming personally involved. The realism techniques then rivets attention to the subject and declares what the painting
is expressing.
Presently, his main focus is watercolor, however he also paints in oils and acrylics.
